At the Intersection of Hardware and Software

I'm Eric Seuret. I solve complex technical challenges where hardware meets software: embedded systems, IoT, medical devices, industrial automation. Today, I combine industry expertise with my role as lecturer at Fachhochschule Graubünden, where I teach industrial and mobile robotics.

The Journey

EPFL (2004-2009)
Master's in Microengineering with a focus on Robotics and Autonomous Systems. Built MRI-compatible robots, wireless sensor systems, and real-time motor control interfaces. This is where I learned to think across disciplines.
Debiotech (2009-2012)
Developed safety-critical electronics and firmware for insulin pumps. Learned what "life-critical" really means: ISO 13485, IEC 60601-1, functional safety analysis. There's no room for compromise in medical devices.
General Electric (formerly Alstom) (2012-2018)
Led R&D projects developing robotics solutions for power and oil & gas industries. Semi-autonomous inspection systems, sensor integration, embedded Linux platforms. Managed projects up to 250k€ budget. Won 2nd place at the Alstom Innovation Awards 2014 for CAD-to-tooling software on a production machine.
Rotronic (2018)
Technical Product Manager for environmental monitoring systems. Managed product lifecycle from concept to launch, unified pricing across 3000+ products, and led technical trainings internationally. Learned how business decisions and technical constraints shape each other.
TraiLa (2019-2021)
Senior Embedded Systems Engineer developing mechatronic systems for rail. Built PLC control systems with Beckhoff TwinCAT, developed sensor testing robotics, and implemented functional safety to IEC 61508 and EN 50657 standards.
ennovatis (2021-2024)
Led energy monitoring projects, designing WireGuard-based VPN solutions for IoT devices and custom embedded Linux systems. Built the kind of secure, scalable IoT infrastructure that actually works in production.
Cylenk (2024-present)
After building products inside corporations, I realized companies needed something different: senior expertise without the hiring overhead, predictable costs, and work that passes regulatory scrutiny. That's what I now provide.

Recognition

US Patent holder
Method and arrangement for measuring the tightness of a core in an electric machine (US20170146491A1)
Innovation Award
2nd place, Alstom Innovation Awards 2014 (Innovative Processes category)

What Makes Me Different

Specialized, not scattered.
I don't try to be everything to everyone. My focus is embedded systems, IoT, and regulatory compliance, with deep experience in Manufacturing and MedTech.
Direct, not delegated.
You work with me; senior expertise, not junior consultants. I respond within 24 hours and deliver what I promise.
Compliance-ready.
I've shipped products under ISO 13485, IEC 62304, IEC 61508, and emerging regulations like the EU Cyber Resilience Act. I know what auditors look for.
Full lifecycle experience.
From concept to production floor, I've shipped products through the entire chain. No handoffs, no knowledge gaps.
